What Is Soy Protein Concentrate?
A versatile and very popular food additive, soy protein concentrates (commonly referred to as SPC) are used by food manufacturers create better and more nutritional food products.
Soy protein concentrate is made when part of the carbohydrates are removed from de-hulled/de-fatted soybeans and is about 70% soy protein. The process of making the concentrate allows it to retain most of the fiber of the soybean, adding even more nutritional value.
It's highly digestible, and offers a good form of protein suitable for vegetarians and for those unable to tolerate meats or dairy.
Key Uses of Soy Protein Concentrates
